The audio dropouts we were experiencing using T-Mobile will be resolved very soon. T-Mobile, which worked well for us for 2 years, could no longer perform well enough for a simple audio stream. We were initially told there was a problem at the tower serving our area and then told a week later they don’t serve the area our transmitter is in.
We have removed their equipment and switched to a different provider but are waiting for the service to be connected. Please listen online until we are back on the air.
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we report our beloved friend and host of “Music Mania,” Frank Tarczueski, passed away on January 8th, 2025, at the age of 79. Many of us at WLCB met and enjoyed our time with Frank when we were with him at another station in Illinois and were elated when he joined us to produce a program here as well in 2019.
Frank was always bright and cheerful and you could see how much he enjoyed his time on the air and life in general. He was always expressing gratitude to those who made it possible for him to have a radio show. His attitude, gratitude, and friendship made the effort and time we put into WLCB worth every moment.
Frank discontinued his program on WLCB for personal reasons after 2 or 3 years but still came around for staff meetings when he could and it was always great to see him.
He told us just before Christmas that he wanted to bring his program back to WLCB and we were in the process of working that out with him. Sadly, that won’t happen now but we still have great memories of our cherished friend.
